A Minorcan Tale part 24| Stage Hypnosis Comedy Hypnosis Stage Show summer season in Minorca
Have you tried Minorca Gin ?
A Trip of a life time: Being the wife of a comedy stage hypnotist is not as glamorous as some people think: thank you for following my ramblings
A wonderful green bottle with a built in handle, a picture of a windmill on the front, how strong could it be ?
A traditional Minorcan drink for festival times, its to be mixed with CAS or Fanta lemon. Can’t be that strong, during this fiesta week there have been little stalls selling it on every street, we even saw a couple of the local motorbike police at a stall partaking in a little drinky.
Be warned, when you see the Spanish dancing in the street, jumping in front of a dozen horses trying to make them “dance” they have more than likely been drinking this rocket fuel disguised in a gin bottle!
We bought our bottle & our Fanta and sat at home on the balcony playing cards with Chris and Gillian. Possibly half a bottle later (between 4) we all felt very sober, no slurring, still very focused on our card game, but then Chris got up to go visit the loo, stumbled into the wall, bounced off the terrace door into the living room, hit the back of the armchair and fell head first over it !!!
Stuart jumped up to help him, bounced off the terrace door into the living room, hit the back of the arm chair and fell head first over it he and Chris toppled onto the floor !!!
Gillian jumped up to help stumbled into the wall, bounced off the terrace door into the living room, hit the back of the arm chair and fell head first over it and landed on top of Stuart and Chris………….
Me ? well I sat there in uncontrollable laughter, tears running down my face, but know way on earth was I going to stand up !!
Be warned this is rocket fuel in a bottle, very tasty, and even though we are now in Mainland Spain, I cannot find it in any of the shops here, I think maybe some law prevents it leaving the Island (good idea) did I mention we had earlier seen the motorbike police swigging it merrily “whilst sitting on their motorbikes”
Continues tomorrow: we are drawing near to the end of my story
